29th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Thanks for a fun small-group Mass last week! With tunes like All the Ends of the Earth (which we'll definitely revisit) and Sing of the Lord's Goodness, it was a very 'rhythmic' liturgy! We had some Knights in attendance for the St. John XXIII Feast Day -- several commented on how much they enjoyed the program! Here's the audio.

If interested, here's the livestream from last Friday's Celebration of Life for Margie, our former Director of Faith Formation. It was a lovely liturgy! During Communion, Margie's family led us in singing The Supper of the Lord, a beautiful piece that we may want to try sometime (it's not in our books, though).

Joanie caught up with me about our group photo for the Pictorial Directory -- it's been blessed and approved, so we should be good to go! Thanks again for taking the time to do this!

At the New Parishioner Reception last Sunday, Ginny and I chatted with someone who's interested in joining us on cello and/or piano. They may sit in some weekend to get an idea of how things flow, and we'll go from there!

A reminder that a celebration for Fr. Charles Ugo is being held after Mass this Saturday. Some of you may remember Fr. Charles from his time at Good Shepherd some years ago. I don't know if he'll also be presiding at Mass, but we should be prepared just in case.

Finally, another Christmas update. We'll likely stick with the same three-Mass schedule as before. After last year's coverage concerns, though, we're looking at scheduling a meeting with Fr. Jozef to work out the details. Probably more on that in the next few weeks; stay tuned!

I think that's it -- have a great week!

(All Mass Parts, except the Gospel Acclamation, are from Mass of Creation, including the Gloria, Holy, Eucharistic Acclamation 'C' (Save Us, Savior), Doxology & Lamb of God)

Out: Maureen, Ginny, Jake

Entrance:
SS #107 - Lead Me, Lord (Becker)

**Since this song is a bit long, we may end it after two verses (depending on the timing).**

(Glory to God)

Responsorial Ps (Jake Cris):
SS #083 - Ps 121 - I Will Lift Up My Eyes (Consiglio)

**Please take a look if unfamiliar! Psalm 121 isn't done very often, and we've only sung this particular arrangement once before.

We won't use the Optional Coda, but will include the 'repeat ad lib' section on the Final Ending (probably repeated three times).**

Acclamation (Lisa):
SS #021 - Alleluia (vs 1) (Angrisano)

Preparation:
GC3 #717 - Shelter Me, O God (Hurd)

**This is a bit of a 'classic', but not one we normally program. I'm presuming you're all familiar with it, though! Depending on tempo, we may need to repeat verses (or add an instrumental) to fill time.**

(Mass Parts)

Communion:
SS #109 - Find Us Ready (Booth)

**Here's another one to review! We'll do more with this for Advent, but for now, please make sure you're comfortable with at least melody! Separate harmonies are in the folder if interested :-). We'll probably start with a brief instrumental, before adding in voices.

No Optional Coda on this one either; we'll use the 'regular' Final Ending instead.**

Closing:
GC3 #686 - Blest Be the Lord (Schutte)

**Let's plan to sing all three verses, and include the harmony on the refrain.**
