Thanks for a strong wrap to the Season of Creation! The four-part splits on Jesus, Your Spirit in Us and I Am the Bread of Life were lovely; If Today was also a favorite with the congregation :-). Here's the audio.

If interested, here's the Music Ministry report that was submitted to the Prayer & Worship Chair for last week's Pastoral Council meeting. Thanks to Barb P. for compiling it!

A reminder that we're celebrating the Feast Day of Pope St. John XXIII as part of Mass this week. Since he's the namesake of our KofC Council, Knights will be serving as Readers, Eucharistic Ministers, etc.. There's nothing special planned music-wise, but we may see a larger-than-usual turnout.

For those who knew/worked with Margie (our Director of Faith Formation from 2010-2018), a memorial liturgy and reception is planned for this Friday (October 10th) @ noon. Barb P. and  Bev are covering; I'm planning to be there as well. Just sharing in case anyone else would like to attend!

Our next Time & Talent is the weekend of October 25th & 26th. As is stands, I'll be staffing the Prayer & Worship table after Mass (along with Dorothy, the Committee Chair). Others will be handling Sunday. If anyone else would like to stick around and help with recruiting, that would be great!

Looking ahead to Christmas, I'm working on selecting a couple of preludes. To keep our options open, my goal is to find pieces that could be done with either a smaller or larger group. Something to keep in mind, though, is a bigger ensemble puts us in a much better position to take point on a Mass! Organizing one of the liturgies would definitely be my preference, but we'll see how the logistics play out.

As for rehearsals, any objections if we start meeting at 3:30 PM again? This would be for certain Saturdays from October through December (but not this week!). I'm working on drafting a schedule.

That's all for now. See you this weekend!

(All Mass Parts, except the Gospel Acclamation, are from Mass of Creation, including the Gloria, Holy, Eucharistic Acclamation 'C' (Save Us, Savior), Doxology & Lamb of God)

Out: Ginny, Joe (tentative), Karen, Barry

Entrance:
SS #126 (GC3 #624) - Lift Up Your Hearts (vs 1-2) (O'Connor)
Materials (**links removed**))

**We'll sing the first two verses only (the 'Lift Up Your Hearts' verses, not the ones for 'Behold the Glory of God' :-). If we could include the descant, that would be great!**

(Glory to God)

Responsorial Ps (Cris):
SS #075 - Ps 98 - All the Ends of the Earth (Fisher)
Materials (**links removed**))

**Please take a look if unfamiliar! We've only done this a few times before.

There will be no into -- just the starting cord. The refrain is sung a capella the first time, with instrumentalists joining near the end. After the interlude, everyone's in on the repeat of the refrain.

If we want to have a bit more fun with this, the final refrain could be done the same way as the beginning (but in reverse). Clapping could be added too :-).

OCP has a great four-part arrangement available. I have it on order, but it may not arrive in time. If not, there's a sample copy in the folder. The harmonies are also fairly easy to pick up from the studio recording (that's what we've done in the past).

I hope that all makes sense! If not, check out the recordings :-).**

Acclamation (Ben):
SS #021 - Alleluia (vs 1) (Angrisano)

Preparation:
SS #208 (GC3 #653) - There is a Longing (Quigley)
Materials (**links removed**))

**We'll probably get through 2-3 verses. Also, let's treat he fermata at the end of the refrain as a full four beats; in the past, that's made things flow better.**

(Mass Parts)

Communion:
GC3 #783 - Unless a Grain of Wheat (Farrell)
Materials (**links removed**))

**We'll take this at a pretty upbeat tempo. Like last week, let's start with an instrumental, before adding in voices. It would be lovely to include the four-part harmony -- practice tracks are in the folder.**

Closing:
GC3 #610 - Sing of the Lord’s Goodness (Sands)
Materials (**links removed**))

**Unless Father processes out early, we'll sing all four verses. Adding the descant would be great!**
