Thanks for another strong Mass last week! Our modified version of Lord, Your Love is Everlasting worked pretty well for a first run! I really liked how Eat This Bread came together too -- gradually building this up and increasing the tempo gave it quite a bit of energy! Here's the audio.

Our August music & cantor schedule is ready! This is another (relatively) normal month, other than Assumption on August 14/15. I may also still have travel at some point -- if so, we'll sort out coverage.

Besides reorganizing our Google Drive folders, I've been adding practice tracks for voice parts as well. This YouTube channel has been a great source for these! Please do check out the folders if you're interested in learning parts :-).

Finally, a sample copy of the new Spirit & Song (Assembly Edition) came in late last week. The publisher also threw in Glory & Praise and Journeysongs for review (two other OCP hymnals similar to Gather). I'm hoping to finish comparing the old & new SS this week. If you're curious, here's how they stack up so far. Let me know if I missed anything! I'll have the book again on Saturday if you'd like to check it out.

I think that's it. Be well, and have a great week!

(All Mass Parts, except the Gospel Acclamation, are from Mass of Creation, including the Gloria, Holy, Eucharistic Acclamation 'C' (Save Us, Savior), Doxology & Lamb of God)

Out: Karen, Lisa, Ginny, Maureen

Entrance:
SS #073 - Come, Worship the Lord (vs 1 & 3) (Talbot)
Materials (**links removed**))

**Since this is for Gathering, let's do it at a fairly upbeat tempo. If you're using the separate OCP parts, note that verses two & three are reversed from what's in the book.**

(Glory to God)

Responsorial Ps (Jake):
SS #074 - Ps 95 - If Today (Thomson)
Materials (**links removed**))

**Don't forget that the refrain is sung twice between each verse. Also, if anyone would like to cover the lower two harmonies, that would be great!**

Acclamation (Frank):
SS #005 (GC3 #844) - Alleluia! Give the Glory (vs 3 or 4) (Canedo)

Preparation:
GC3 #746 - All That is Hidden (Farrell)
Materials (**links removed**))

**We'll likely get through three verses. Keep in mind that there's a fermata & slight pause at the end of the refrain. We'll need to be a bit careful about clean cutoffs/entrances!**

(Mass Parts)

Communion:
GC3 #932 (SS #161) - One Bread, One Body (Foley)
Materials (**links removed**))

**Would someone like to get the singing started while everyone else goes up to receive?**

Closing:
GC3 #622 - Canticle of the Turning (Cooney)
Materials (**links removed**))

**Let's plan to play the second half of the refrain as an interlude between verses. We may only sing 2-3 verses, depending on when Father processes out.**
