Thanks to everyone who came out last week! With everything going on for the Eucharistic Miracles Exhibition, things were a bit messier than usual. I appreciate your bearing with me! Here's the audio.

Barb P., Joanne and I have a meeting with Fr. Jozef tomorrow, 03/26 @ 10 AM to go over Holy Week logistics. Stay tuned, I'll let you know what shakes out!

Don't forget that we'll meet again at 3:30 PM on Saturday. We're making good headway with Good Friday music, so thanks for coming early! A few notes from last week:
  • For Who is That Man?, we'll have piano & flute accompaniment. Let's follow the written arrangement, including splitting all four parts. With others joining us later, we should (hopefully) have more than one voice on each part. Please also look at the dynamics & other markings in the music -- we'll try to include those too.
  • O Sacred Head, Surrounded & Calvary will be our a capella (plus flute!) pieces in four parts. We'll probably spend some more time on Calvary this Saturday to sort out who's doing what.
  • We decided on a three-way split for Adoramus Te Christe. Lisa, Jake & Frank will be 'section leads' for the three cannon parts. Hopefully we'll have more than one voice on each part! This will be sung with accompaniment, except the final refrain, which will be a capella (plus flute).
I'd also like to look at Jesus, Remember Me -- the harmonies are simple, but we should make sure everyone's on the same page with how it flows. It'll be used for 2nd Veneration, so we'll keep it going as long as needed. We'll use different combinations of singers/instrumentalists every few repeats to break things up. Not rushing the tempo will be important too!

Barb H. shared today that Father would like to try not announcing songs. Since we invested in hymn boards, his thinking is folks should be using them for the page numbers. The Commentator will also not announce the Gathering song (they'll just say "please stand and join in the singing of our entrance hymn."). If this causes issues with how many people are singing, we can go back to announcing.

Finally, for those interested in singing/playing for Holy Thursday (04/17 @ 7 PM) and/or Easter Vigil (04/19 @ 8 PM) I'll forward the programs when they're available. Joanne's inviting everyone to participate. We'll do the same for our shared liturgies!

That's all for now; see you Saturday!

(All Mass Parts, except the Lenten Gospel Acclamation, are from Mass of Remembrance, including Holy, Eucharistic Acclamation 'A' (We Proclaim Your Death), Doxology & Lamb of God)

Out: Frank, Ginny

Entrance:
GC3 #478 - Return to God (Haugen)
Materials (**links removed**))

**We'll follow the written arrangement, including repeating the refrain between verses. Don't forget that verse three has a different melody! We'll plan to sing all three verses.**

Penitential Rite (Ginny TBD):
Mass of Remembrance (Haugen)

Responsorial Ps (Jake):
SS #062 - Ps 34 - Taste and See (Hurd)
Materials (**links removed**))

Acclamation (Lisa):
SS #006 - Praise and Honor (‘4th C’ verse) (Canedo)

Preparation:
GC3 #484 - Hosea (Norbet)
Materials (**links removed**))

**Let's plan to sing all three verses. Verses one & two are split across two lines; verse three is a single line only. I don't think we'll need to repeat any verses.

I've also been trying to track down the voice parts that some of you mentioned before. OCP does have a set of choral parts, but it doesn't really match what you all described. I'll keep working on this!**

(Mass Parts)

Communion:
GC3 #480 - Mercy, O God (O'Brien)
Materials (**links removed**))

**Since this has six verses, let's begin with a shorter instrumental, and then one of us can start the singing. Everyone else can join in after receiving. Including the alto & tenor parts would be great!**

Commendation:
Song of Farewell (Schutte) [once/month]

Closing:
GC3 #493 - Change Our Hearts (Cooney)
Materials (**links removed**))

**Let's plan to sing all three verses. Including the descant would be nice!**
