7th Sunday of Easter

Thanks for a great Mass last week! It was nice being (mostly) fully-staffed again and everything sounded wonderful! Hail Mary: Gentle Woman & We Came Today were especially fun to pull out again. Here's the audio.
Materials for Storrington Mass went out last week. We started taking a look during rehearsal. Let's see how much headway we make in May/June (before getting too deep into Summer!) and go from there. It may be best to focus on melody for now and add in harmony once everyone's comfortable with this.
Another thing to consider: do we want to 1) try the Gospel Acclamation in Storrington, 2) continue using Alleluia! Give the Glory, or 3) look at something different all-together (perhaps another out of SS)? As long as it's in the book, I'm open to ideas :-).
A reminder that Masses for the Feast of the Ascension are being celebrated tomorrow, Wednesday, May 8th @ 7:00 PM (Vigil) & Thursday, May 9th @ 9 AM. Please join in the singing! The music is posted to the 8:30 & 10:30 pages of the website.
We still need to block some time to work on balancing the sound system. Some general wiring & choir cabinet cleanup is probably in order too (it's been a year or more since we've done this last). If you'd be interested in helping, I'll try to throw out some dates later this week. Stay tuned!
Next Saturday, May 18th, is our celebration of Pentecost. This marks the official end of the Easter season. Please plan to wear red! We'll also be introducing a new Pentecost Sequence (we may look at this Saturday, time-permitting). Everything else should be normal.
Finally, a happy Mother's Day to all of our moms! I hope you have a chance to celebrate!
Have a great week and see you Saturday.
