5th Sunday of Lent

Thanks to all who came out last week, especially Virginia for covering piano! Thanks as well to Claire for singing with us (she's one of our youth cantors for Sunday Class Masses). I appreciate everyone's patience & flexibility as we worked through the program! Here's the audio.

Last week, several emails went out about Holy Thursday & Vigil music, the ME25 survey and a thank-you note from the CDA. Let me know if you have questions on Joanne's Holy Week music.

I made a tweak to how sheet music & audio is linked in posts. Rather than individual files, the links are now to folders for each song instead. That simplifies things on my end. Let me know if it's an issue!

A reminder that our next Holy Week rehearsal is at 3:30 PM this Saturday. We'll try to look at the following (some of these may be covered in regular rehearsal, if time permits):

UPDATE: 03/13: Let's discuss more over the weekend, but we ended up making some tweaks to Easter Sunday music. Father Jozef also requested the addition of an Easter Sequence. Stay tuned!

For Tree of Life, we'll sing three 'general' verses, plus the Sunday-specific verse for the 5th Sunday. If interested, the Adoramus Te Christe descant can be sung on the last verse.

This will be our last week of singing Praise and Honor for the season. This piece came together really well and I think it's definitely worth repeating next year. For both Palm Sunday (04/16) & Good Friday (04/29), we'll switch to Were You There for the Acclamation.
