11th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Thanks to all who came out last week! We were a small crew, but managed to pull everything off. Splitting O Taste and See for Gathering & Closing worked nicely, and it was fun pulling out Come to the Feast again. Check out the audio here (**link removed**).
Welcome (back) to Ordinary Time! We switch to Mass of Joy & Peace this week. The Eucharistic Acclamation will be We Proclaim Your Death (Acc. 'A'). Fr. Jozef will sing his own intros for this and the Doxology, so we'll only need to give the starting pitch. Let's take some time to review everything.
The new hymn board is still a work-in-progress. We'll keep announcing all songs for now, repeating each page number twice. For the Psalm, this can be announced while the cantor is going up to the ambo, or the cantor may do this themselves from the ambo. Either way's fine!
For Communion, it's been requested that we continue singing/playing until the vessels are purified and Dcn. Jack has returned to his seat. Also, there will no longer be announcements after Communion.
There were some weird feedback issues with the Commentator mic last week (I ended up unplugging it during the opening reading, and Joe turned down our levels a bit). It seemed fine later, but we should test again during rehearsal to be safe. If there are still problems, we might want to see about plugging this mic into the choir mixer instead -- that way, there's the option of local control if needed.
As We Gather at Your Table and We Are God's People are both pieces we don't do too often. Please take a look if either are unfamiliar. For the Psalm, don't worry about the ostinato refrain (we'll sing this in the usual Psalm format instead). The rest of the program should all be classics.
UPDATE: 06/16: The Commendation Song will be needed this week (two death announcements). Also, the new hymn board still isn't ready yet.
UPDATE: 06/17: My apologies, but please note a last-minute change to the Psalm below.
Finally, a reminder to please let me know of any summer absences (planned or otherwise :-). Since our core group is small (and things are always in flux this time of year), that really helps with logistics. I'm also hoping to have our July music & cantor schedule ready in the next couple of weeks.
That's all for now. Have a great week!
