Body & Blood of Christ

Thanks for another solid piano & percussion Mass last week! I Am the Bread of Life and Shine, Jesus, Shine especially came together nicely. There were also many positive comments on the music during Fr. Jozef's reception, especially on how energetic & upbeat everything was :-). Here's the audio.
Since Easter officially ended two weeks ago with Pentecost, a Sprinkling Rite will no longer be done. Moving forward, the Gloria will be sung as normal.
Until the new hymn board is ready, let's continue announcing all songs. I'd suggest following Barb H.'s recommendation of announcing the page numbers twice; that way, folks have a chance to find them. Once the board is set up, we can go back to only announcing Entrance, Offertory & Closing.
Also, there's now a hard copy of the June music plan (and cantor schedule) in a black binder in the choir area. I'd still suggest having your own digital or physical copy, but this will be available if needed.
I'll be forwarding a report on recent Saturday Choir activities that was submitted to the new Chair of Prayer & Worship (the Standing Committee that the Music Ministry falls under). For future meetings, if you have any updates to share, feel free to let me know. I'll try to include them in the report.
Our 8:30 AM Choir is in need of singers! If you're able to help some Sundays (or know of anyone who might be interested), please let Barb P. know. Barb only has a few singers, plus piano or organ.
We normally sing O Taste and See for Communion, but I'd like to try splitting it for Entrance & Closing this time. The melodies on all the verses are different, so please make sure you know these.
We've only sung Come to the Feast a few times before. Please take a look if it's unfamiliar. In the past, we've sung this out of SS, but used the accompaniment from GC.
Finally, a reminder that we return to Ordinary Time next weekend, 06/17. We'll also be switching back to Mass of Joy & Peace. Please review this before next week (stay tuned for which Eucharistic Acclamation will be used). In the Fall, we'll likely try a new/different Mass Setting (TBD).
That's all for now. Have a great week!
