3rd Sunday of Easter

Huge thanks to Bev & Maggie for running things in my absence last week (and to all who were able to be there)! I'm told Sing of the Lord's Goodness was a hit and Frank's guitar prelude was wonderful (we should definitely do more preludes & meditations like this :-). Looking forward to being back!
The GC version of Gather Your People includes parts that aren't in SS. If you'd like to check these out, both versions are below. Since this is a bit long, let's sing the first two verses only.
Please review On the Journey to Emmaus if it's unfamiliar. We've looked at this a couple of times, but haven't actually done it for a Mass. Parts would be nice :-).
I'm guessing everyone's familiar with Now the Green Blade Rises (the same tune as Sing We Now of Christmas). Let's keep the tempo moving (even more so than the recording) to prevent it from dragging. We'll also add a slight retard & pause at the end of each verse.
An email went out about scheduling some time to clean up the sound system wiring. Please let me know if you can help, and any timeframes that would work best. I'll be in touch about potential dates.
A letter from Barb P. has also been circulated about helping the Parish offset costs for the new Sanctuary window blinds. If you're interested in donating (no pressure!), contributions can be made to the Parish Office. Thanks for considering!
We may have a new instrumentalist joining us! Please welcome Luca to the group on flute! Some of you may remember Luca from last year's Christmas Children's Mass (he played piano on several songs). Luca is looking at Mass Parts to see what he's comfortable playing, and we'll go from there.
Finally, a quick update on the new Mass schedule: this will now go into effect at the beginning of June, rather than May (the Office needs more time to sort out Liturgical Minister training & scheduling). The new times remain the same: 5 PM Saturday and 8:30 & 10:30 AM Sunday.
UPDATE: 04/20: Joe & Maggie are out (Lisa will cover for Maggie on the Psalm); also, the Commendation song will need sung due to several death announcements; finally, I'm told a dedicated podium for the Commentator has been added between the piano & ambo (not sure of exact placement, but we may need to work around it).
That's it for now. Have a great week!
