2nd Sunday of Easter

Thanks so much to all who were able to sing, play and/or support these special liturgies -- there were some minor issues, but all things considered, the programs came together exceptionally well. There were also many positive comments on the music afterward. Nicely done!
Here's the audio from Good Friday & Easter Sunday (**links removed**).
Our music & cantor schedule for the rest of April is ready to go (May should be ready soon too). We'll be celebrating 'normal' Easter season Masses until Ascension & Pentecost in mid-May.
A reminder that I'm out this week due to a concert dress rehearsal. Father Jozef is aware. Ginny has the announcements and Bev & Maggie will run things. I'd suggest coming a bit early to get set up, etc.. Feel free to call/text if you have any questions (I won't be tied up until closer to 6 PM).
Throughout the Easter season, a Sprinkling Rite will be done. Please see the script below -- we'll sing the Gloria refrain as the response to each prayer (use the revised text: "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to people of good will"). The entire Gloria will then be sung while the congregation is sprinkled (in place of a dedicated Sprinkling song). Please review this with Father.
UPDATE: 04/14: See Barb's email about a few logistics for tomorrow & a copy of the program.
Next Saturday's Offertory song, On the Journey to Emmaus (GC3 #538), may be new. I'd suggest taking a look if you have some time; otherwise, we'll cover it next week.
Back in February, we talked about getting a group together to clean up the sound system wiring. I was in touch with the Office last week, and they're fine with us doing this (as long as nothing gets broken or damaged, of course). For those interested, stay tuned for a separate email.
Finally, the PC received a request to install blinds on the choir windows. There have been long-standing issues with heat & glare making things uncomfortable for musicians (especially Sundays), and even damaging equipment. After discussions, it appears this is moving forward. More to come.

I think that's it. Enjoy the weather and see you next week!
