Thanks for a great small-group Mass last week! Our little men's choir (plus Ginny :-) sounded nice, and much of the phrasing & cutoffs were pretty clean. I appreciate your working with me! Really the only piece that gave us trouble was Holy is His Name, but we can fix that next time. Here's the audio.

First, my apologies for posting so late and the messy program. We have a lot to cover, so please take time to look at the music and be ready to start right at 4 PM on Saturday.

Father's Gathering song, Sing Praise to God, is new. This is a gospel-style Marty Haugen tune. Feel free to look at parts, but we definitely want to make sure melody is solid.

We haven't sung Blest Be the Lord in quite a while. Please make sure you have the rhythms on the verses down so we're singing them the same way (the recording below is pretty accurate; we'll use the lyrics from the book, though). Having a couple of people on the descant would be great!

Lead Us to Your Table is also new. We touched on this one last week. I'm planning to follow the structure from the recording: intro, verse (x2), ref, verse, ref, verse (after key change), ref (x2), final.

For I Danced in the Morning, don't forget about the tempo change on vs 4; also keep an eye out for rhythms like 'the holy people said...' on vs 3, which tend to trip us up.

Our music & cantor schedule for November should be ready by next week. I'm also working on December just to get ahead. Stay tuned!

Finally, Masses for All Saints & All Souls will be held on 11/01 & 11/02 at 6:30 PM. If you'd like to help with these, the programs went out by email.
