Thanks for a pretty solid piano/guitar Mass last week! It was an unexpected pleasure working with Fr. Baker again. Open My Eyes and Lead Me, Guide Me especially came together well. Here's the audio.

I ended up making one change to this week's program. Father has Gather Us In programmed for Gathering; I swapped out Gather Your People for Communion with Christ, Be Our Light. That way, we don't have two songs with very similar themes on the same program.

For In the Day of the Lord, let's plan on doing about four verses. This song moves along pretty quickly, but I doubt we'll have time for all six (and I'm not planning to cherry-pick verses this time).

If we take Holy Is His Name at a similar tempo as the recording below, it should work OK for Sending. I don't think we can take it any faster, though. We'll skip the optional interlude.

Looking ahead, we have one new piece on the board for 10/29, Lead Us to Your Table (**links removed**). If there's time, let's start looking at this on Saturday.

As far as coverage on 11/05, we're going to try a guitar Mass. We haven't done one of these since before COVID, so it should be fun. It would be great to have as many singers & instrumentalists that weekend as possible to fill things out. I'll also try to nail down the music plan early (but no promises).

Finally, for Christmas, a strong contender for one of our preludes is this arrangement of Mary, Did You Know?. I'm hoping to kick off rehearsals in early Nov. (pushed this back at a bit). This will depend, though, on our numbers and how the Mass schedule & choir coverage plays out. More to come.
