This Saturday is the Solemnity of Christ the King.
We where a bit short on instrumentalists last week, but Mass went pretty well. Thanks as always to everyone who was able to be there!
After Mass, Jim, Ginny, Lisa and I stuck around to review Mass of Joy & Piece. We seem to be in a good place with this, and just need to brush up on the harmonies. We'll start using Joy & Peace on the First Sunday of Advent, 10/28.
We also briefly discussed the upcoming Advent/Christmas season. As far as Christmas Eve goes, it sounds like we'll be covering the 6 PM Mass in the Parish Hall. In the past, we've traditionally covered the 4 PM liturgy, but that's changed over the past couple of years. The Mass schedule has not been confirmed, though, so please let me know if that time slot poses a problem.
I'm also open to suggestions for preludes for the month of December. This is a great opportunity to blow the dust off pieces we haven't done in a while, and/or to pull together a choral piece to round out our Christmas program. Let me know if you have any ideas!
I'm working on a Drama production this week, and won't be at Mass. See you on the 28th!
