2nd Sunday in Ordinary Time

Thanks to all who were able to be there for Fr. Charlie's final Saturday Mass! Everything came together pretty well with our little 'men's choir' and Father passed along his appreciation. The audio can be found here. Please keep him (and all involved) in prayer during this time of transition.
Let's welcome Fr. Jozef! As many of you know, Fr. Jozef served at Good Shepherd for a time with Fr. Bender. He comes to us from St. Matthew Parish, where he's been pastor for 13 years. As we gather to prep for Mass this week, don't be afraid to say hello and introduce yourself (name tags would be great too!). A meet-and-greet will follow both weekend Masses.
If you're able, please try to come to rehearsal a few minutes early to set up. That'll (hopefully) give us a little extra time to work out any logistics with Fr. Jozef. I'm not expecting any big changes, though.
I've been down with a bug the past few days and wasn't able to attend Fr. Charlie's sendoff Gathering or pass along the card. If anyone would still like to sign the card, I'll have it available again Saturday.
For the Gathering song, Behold the Glory of God, this is just an alternate refrain/set of verses for Lift Up Your Hearts. In terms of the music, everything else is the same.
Joanne confirmed last week that we'll continue singing Mass of Joy & Peace. Also, Fr. Jozef would like the Gloria sung for all weeks in Ordinary Time until Ash Wednesday (02/22).
I'll have copies of Deacon Bob's We Are the People on Saturday. There's also piano & guitar accompaniment in the cabinet. The lyrics will be printed in the program for the congregation.
We haven't sung With One Voice in quite a while. Please make sure you're comfortable with the final ending -- piano drops out for a brief a capella /clapping section before coming back in.
UPDATE: 01/12: Please see Barb's email about a change to Sanctuary chair arrangements this weekend, per Fr. Jozef's request. This shouldn't be a big change, but let me know if any questions. And please try to come a bit early so we can sort out any seating logistics. Thank you!
UPDATE: 01/12: See another email from Barb regarding announcing recently-deceased Parish (or family) members at Mass. Fr. Jozef isn't familiar with the Commendation song, so he's asking that the choir handle making these announcements & leading the singing.
UPDATE: 01/13: Disregard last update; the Reader will handle these announcements instead; we just need to lead the Commendation song.
That's all for now. Be well and see you Saturday!
