Thanks for another very strong Mass last week! I also appreciate your flexibility with the sound system issues. Everything came together pretty well, and the harmonies sounded wonderful! Here's the audio.
We had a great little Fall Potluck after Mass too -- thanks to Bev for organizing! It was a fun time and there was lots of yummy food! Our next potluck will be February timeframe.
Last Thursday (before All Saints Mass), we discovered that the Bose amplifier in the Sanctuary died. This meant no sound from the choir, ambo or wireless mics was coming through the big speakers. Paul & Joe have been working on this issue -- among other things, they wired in a temporary amplifier and are looking into options for a permanent replacement. Huge thanks to Paul & Joe (as well as Ben for some additional input) for their time and work on this!
UPDATE: 11/08: The new hardware that Paul spec'd out came in yesterday. He worked with Fr. Jozef on getting installed. It sounds like some adjustments are still needed, but everything should be functional again for the weekend. We'll test on Saturday :-).
Please welcome back Victoria on piano! Victoria will be covering for Bev this week, with Virginia playing next week (11/16). The two of us are meeting tonight to review the music.
Looking ahead, Barb P., Joanne and I will be meeting with Fr. Jozef to discuss planning/logistics for the Advent & Christmas season. We're also still finalizing how coverage for the Christmas Masses will work. More to come on this soon!
UPDATE: 11/06: Please complete this survey that Joanne & I sent earlier today. This will help us get an idea of who's available for Christmas Masses. Thanks!
On a similar note, our next Advent/Christmas rehearsals will be on 11/23 & 11/30 @ 3:30 PM. Please let me know if those dates don't work! I realize that second date is Thanksgiving weekend, but it's also the 1st Sunday of Advent. Our options this month are a bit limited!
Finally, Jaimie (Luca's mom) confirmed details for the Faith Formation Christmas Pageant. The Dress Rehearsal will be on Sunday, 12/08 from 9:00-10:15 AM and the Pageant itself Saturday, 12/14 from 2:00-4:00 PM. I forwarded the email with details earlier today. We'll need accompaniment, plus at least 3-4 singers. Please let me know if you're able to help!
Be well and have a great week!
