18th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Thanks to everyone who came out last week! We had a couple of trickier pieces on the board, so I appreciate your patience! It was also nice having a guest singer from 10:30 in the mix. Here's the audio.
Our August music & cantor schedule is ready (still using the 'old' template for now). This was also posted to the Music Ministry website, group calendar & Facebook group last week. I may start dropping these in the group chat too :-). A few quick notes:
- Assumption is on August 15th. Since this falls on a Saturday, it's not a Holy Day of Obligation this year and there won't be any special Masses. So disregard what I said last week!
- Our Summer Potluck is still on for Saturday, August 22nd after Mass. Don't forget to RSVP if you haven't already. Family is welcome too!
- A reminder to please take a look at any less-familiar pieces before rehearsals! We have several in August, and that will save us time. Links are in the music plan. If you need something I haven't posted yet, feel free to give me a shout -- happy to send it to you!
It's looking like Saturday may be an all hands on deck kind of night. If so, let's try to be extra careful about tempos, cues, etc.. I'll do by best to give these from the mics!

**A quick reminder that there's an interlude and key change between verse three and the final refrain. So don't come in too early! That refrain is also sung twice before going to the final ending.**

**We sang this a couple of weeks ago, but I thought we might like another shot at it! The trickiest part is getting the Spanish feel right -- a slightly slower tempo and conducting in 3/4 seemed to help. This is also a rare instance where the GC accompaniment is better than SS, so instrumentalists are welcome play out GC instead :-).**
