Thanks for another strong Mass last Saturday! Fall is off to a great start so far! The new Alleluia & Sing Praise to God came together pretty well for new additions. Our Potluck was a big success too -- special thanks to everyone who came and Bev for organizing! Here's the audio.

Welcome back Karen! I'll be wonderful to have flute back in the mix :-). Like before, we may need to shift the front row mics over a tad so that there's room for another stand & boom mic.

Let's give a 5:00 welcome to our newest member, Ally! She'll be joining us this week. Ally is our first new youth musician in a while -- we're hoping others will get involved down the line!

Moving forward, Father asked that we begin the Communion song right after the prayer (which is what the Lectionary recommends). If you're staying back for the Common song, please don't wait for me to cue it! Just start playing/singing whenever you're ready.

The Parish is producing a new Pictorial Directory! As part of the project, photos of various ministries will be included. Per Father's request, could we pick a Saturday when we're all present to take a group shot before or after Mass? The 13th (this Saturday) or 27th may be good candidates. Let me know if those dates don't work. We can always look at early October too!

The Parish Picnic is this Sunday, September 14th @ 1 PM. Happy Birthday, us! It's normally in mid-July, but we pushed it to Fall this year. Due to lack of signups, though, it's in danger of being canceled. Please consider signing up if you're able! A final decision will be made by mid-afternoon tomorrow.

Finally, our next Potluck is planned for November 1st after Mass (thanks for the quick responses!). It'll have a Halloween/All Souls theme :-). Please RSVP if you haven't already.

I think that's it. Have a great week!

(All Mass Parts, except the Gospel Acclamation, are from Mass of Creation, including the Gloria, Holy, Eucharistic Acclamation 'C' (Save Us, Savior), Doxology & Lamb of God)

Out: None (?) Joe (tentative)

Entrance:
SS #189 (GC3 #602) - Lord, I Lift Your Name on High (Founds)

**This is an oldie that (it sounds like) most of you already know. We'll use the SS arrangement (Karen, let's see if the c-inst. parts in GC line up). It'll be structured like this recording:

-Intro
-Refrain ("Lord, I lift your name on high...")to 1st ending
-Refrain - to 2nd ending
-Chorus ("You came from heaven to earth...") - to 1st ending
-Refrain - to 2nd ending
-Chorus - to final ending

I hope that all makes sense!**

(Glory to God)

Responsorial Ps (Jake):
SS #091 - Ps 145 - I Will Lift Up Your Name (Angrisano/Tomaszek)

**Don't forget that after verse 3, there's an interlude & key change that leads into the final ending.**

Acclamation (Frank):
SS #021 - Alleluia (vs 1) (Angrisano)

**Let's make sure to keep the tempo upbeat and joyful! Also, it's not written this way, but we'll repeat the refrain once the first time (for the congregation).**

Preparation:
GC3 #805 - Touch the Earth Lightly (Murray/Alonso)

**Including the parts would be lovely! We're also use the last phrase of the verse as an interlude.**

(Mass Parts)

Communion:
GC3 #491 - Jesus, the Lord (O'Connor)

**Let's be super careful about tempo, fermatas and words ending in 's' (watch for cues & cutoffs!). We can start this as an instrumental, with everyone else joining in after receiving Communion. Including the descant on the refrain would be great!**

Closing:
GC3 #482 - The Cross of Jesus (O'Brien)

**I'd like to keep the tempo upbeat, but not rushed! If we could include the harmony, that would be lovely! We'll plan to sing all four verses (unless Father processes out early).**
