Body & Blood of Christ / Baptism
(Corpus Christi)
Image Source: St. Marty Catholic Church

Thanks for another solid Mass last week! I appreciate your bearing with the slightly-odd mix of music -- without going too traditional, Trinity can be a bit interesting to pick for! Special thanks to Bev & Jake for taking on that tricky Psalm (and pulling it off really well)! Here's the audio.

This may be our first 'lite' Mass of the Summer, so we'll need everyone on mics. As it stands, I have Karen, Jake, Lisa & Ginny out (?). Let me know if that's not right! And if anyone else is able to help, that would be much appreciated!

A couple of additions for this week: there will be a new Corpus Christi Sequence sung, as well as a Baptism celebrated. Apologies for the late notice, but this just came up over the past few days. The additional music is listed below (also on the June plan).

A reminder that Victoria will be joining us next weekend, June 28th (Bev is out). I'll be meeting with her before then to review music, and we'll go from there.

Also, stay tuned for July & August music -- with Summer activities ramping up, I'd like to get this squared away early. Although I may hold off on August cantors until closer to the end of July :-).

Finally, the Music Ministry leads will be meeting with Fr. Jozef next month to talk about a new budget proposal. The idea is to provide additional funds from the Parish to support current and future music needs. Since Church finances are much improved, we felt it was finally time to have that discussion!

That's all for now; have a great week!

(All Mass Parts, except the Gospel Acclamation, are from Mass of Remembrance, including the Gloria, Holy, Eucharistic Acclamation 'A' (We Proclaim Your Death), Doxology & Lamb of God)

Out: Karen, Jake, Lisa, Ginny

Entrance:
SS #111 (GC3 #837) - Gather Your People (Hurd)
Materials (**links removed**))

**If interested, the GC arrangement has some additional parts that aren't in SS. Let's plan to sing the first two verses only.**

(Glory to God)

Responsorial Ps (Cris & Ginny):
GC3 #078 - Ps 116 - Our Blessing-Cup (Haugen)
Materials (**links removed**))

**Would anyone be interested in co-cantoring this with me? There's some parts on the refrain & a descant on the verses that would be lovely to include. If not, no worries!**

Sequence & Acclamation (Cris):
Corpus Christi Sequence (Poppleton)
Materials (**links removed**))

**Father asked if we could include the Sequence for Body & Blood of Christ. A Sequence is required for Easter & Pentecost, but has traditionally been optional for Body & Blood (which is why we haven't done one before).

There isn't one in the books, so we'll use the above from OCP. I'll plan to sing this. If you're comfortable singing along, please do (we'll have copies available)! It also has a lovely little Acclamation that we'll use in place of the usual one out of SS (these are done back-to-back).**

Baptism Response:
We Believe (Walker)

Sprinkling:
Living Water (Killoren)
Materials (**links removed**))

Preparation:
SS #150 - Bread of Life (Fisher)
Materials (**links removed**))

**We'll plan to sing all three verses (don't forget about the key change after verse two!). Also, since this is a tad long, let's try to get it started right away.**

(Mass Parts)

Communion:
SS #159 (GC3 #917) - O Taste and See (Haugen)
Materials (**links removed**))

**It's been a little while since we've sung this. Every verse has a different melody, so please make sure you're familiar with each!**

Closing:
GC3 #913 - We Are One (de Silva)
Materials (**links removed**))

**Please take a look if unfamiliar! We introduced this earlier in the year, but have only done it a couple of times so far. We may only sing two verses.**
