I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
A huge thanks to Frank & Virginia for the coverage last week (feel better, Bev!). I appreciate everyone's flexibility with the plan!
Our new Offertory song, Alleluia No. 1, also sounded great for a first run! Here's the audio.
Our June music & cantor schedule is ready! As always, let me know of any issues.
The Easter season wraps up next week (06/07) with Pentecost. We'll then have several special feasts (Trinity, Body & Blood and St. Peter & Paul, Apostles), before 'regular' Ordinary Time Masses begin in July. We'll also switch to Mass of Creation at the beginning of July.
Speaking of Mass Settings, the Choir leads are looking at re-introducing Christopher Walker's Celtic Mass. Some of you may remember this Setting from when we did it ~15 years ago. The Office will need to order new sheet music, as Celtic (along with the rest of our Settings) was revised in 2010 to match the re-translated Roman Missal. We probably won't put this on the rotation for a bit, though. Stay tuned!
A reminder that Masses for Ascension are this Wednesday, 05/28 @ 7 PM & Thursday, 05/29 @ 9 AM. It's considered a Holy Day of Obligation. As it stands, Bev is playing for both liturgies; I'm cantoring Wednesday & Barb P. Thursday. The music is posted to our website. Please join us if you're able!
Finally, a KofC Exemplification will take place after Mass. As far as I'm aware, there's nothing special happening music-wise during Mass. We may just need to clean up fairly quickly afterward. Between this and a large, private event, there's going to be a lot of activity Saturday night. Just a heads up!
I think that's it. Have a great week!
(All Mass Parts, except the Gospel Acclamation, are from Mass of Remembrance, including the Gloria, Holy, Eucharistic Acclamation 'A' (We Proclaim Your Death), Doxology & Lamb of God)

GC3 #524 - Alleluia No. 1 (Fishel)

**We get one more shot at this for the season! Please take a look if you weren't here last week. Including the descant & harmonies on the verses would be great! We'll likely sing 4-5 verses.**
