Songs & Updates for Saturday, January 25, 2020 [updated]

3rd Sunday in Ordinary Time / Baptism
Huge thanks to Bev, Ken, Maggie, Lisa and Joe for braving the snow/ice and covering Mass last week! It sounds like things overall came together nicely and Mass was surprisingly well-attended. Father did all the Readings and RCIA activities were moved to Sunday at 11 AM. Hopefully this will be our only 'snow day' of the season :-).

Our music for February (HERE) has been sent to the Office for approval. Will let you know of any changes. I didn't program anything new since we'll soon be jumping into Lent/Easter prep, but there are several pieces we haven't done in a while. Stay tuned for the cantor schedule. We should have a better idea of what the Lenten season looks like in the next few weeks.

A reminder that we have a Double-Baptism this week. Being at full staff would be great if possible. Of note, since many were out last week, I Have Been Anointed has been added to the program for 2nd Communion. Ideally, I'd like to drop the piano accompaniment in favor of percussion-only, but let's see how we're feeling with the piece and go from there.

If you have a chance, it may also be worth reviewing City of God. This is a familiar tune, but we've run into issues in the past with the second half (specifically, verse three and some of the transitions). Just want to make sure we're all on the same page with the flow.

Finally, please stick around afterward for some food and discussions in Christ the Servant Conference Room. We have the room from 4-9 PM, so feel free to set up/drop things off early. There's still time to RSVP is you haven't already. Family/spouses welcome. If you have any specific topics for discussion, let me know!
