Baptism of the Lord
Thanks for a fun Mass last week! We had a nice variety of music and The Virgin Mary Had a Baby Boy was definitely a highlight. I would say this and Epiphany Carol are worth doing again next year. Let's also welcome back Mr. Barry! Check out the audio HERE.
Special thanks as well to Ginny for helping me with Mass for Solemnity of Mary. Due to a last-minute change, Ginny and I joined forces with Denise and some 11 AM singers to cover this liturgy.
Baptism of the Lord is the last Christmas-related Mass of the season. We return to Ordinary Time next Saturday, 01/18, until the Lent/Easter season begins on 02/29. Let's take a bit of a break before jumping into Easter prep in February. Still open to music suggestions if you have any ideas :-).
The signups for our dinner/planning meeting on 01/25 went live last weekend (HERE). If you haven't already, please RSVP either way so we can plan accordingly. Feel free to bring spouses/family.
For the Psalm, could we do the three-part canon (round) on the refrain? This seemed to work well last time. Also, let's try to include both of the harmony lines on You Are the Voice.

Finally, I'm assuming everyone saw the Bishop's note (HERE) recommending against handshakes and wine during this flu season. Obviously, please use your own judgement and stay healthy/safe -- we definitely don't want a flu epidemic in the choir. Thanks!
