Songs & Updates for Saturday, July 13, 2019 [updated]

Nice work last week! We were a small group, but the program came together pretty well. Thanks to all who were able to sing, play and/or cantor over the holiday weekend. Pieces such as Let All the Earth, We Come Today and Go Make a Difference were highlights. Our Postlude, God Bless America, also sounded good after working out the transitions/tempo. Father Baker commented that our selections were "spot on" in terms of matching the readings/themes (always great to hear :-). Check out the audio HERE.

Our music for July (HERE) has been approved with no changes.

If anyone's planning to attend Arts Fest, Arietta (including Bev, Lisa and Frances) will be singing on Thursday, 07/11 (details HERE). Also, Wellspring (including Bev) will be performing at People's Choice on Sunday, 07/14 (details HERE).

This week's Psalm, Lord, Make Us Turn to You, is out of the old GC. Please take a look if unfamiliar -- we've only done this twice before. Also, if you're able to print a copy of the music, that would be great.

For The Servant Song, this will be done largely a capella, with voice/instrument parts added in the second half. The goal is to keep it very simple, while carefully building up parts as we go.

Just a reminder that the annual Parish Picnic is this Sunday, 07/14, at 4 PM. We're turning 30, a major milestone, so hope to see you there! My family will be running Bingo :-).

On a similar note, we tentatively have a monthly dinner on the board for 07/27. Again, if that date doesn't work, let me know and we can change it. Food sign-ups will be available shortly.

Ken is out this week; Ginny is tentatively out as well. Looking ahead, I'll be tied up on 08/03 with a choir concert. Bev is also unavailable 08/24 and 09/07.
