28th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Nice job last Saturday! We were down a few people, but the harmonies on Table Song and We Arise were lovely. Let's continue building these pieces in the coming weeks.
Last Thursday's Feast of St. Francis liturgy was very sparsely attended, with a grand total of about 15 people in the Sanctuary (including two priests, a deacon, musicians, servers/ministers and the congregation). Since Father Kevin (visiting priest) was presiding, Father Charlie came over and sang with us, which was a first.

Our music for October has been approved. The cantor schedule is also ready to go (sorry for the delay -- too much going on last week :-). Of note, the Psalm for 10/27, All the Ends of the Earth, is new. Please look over the materials here and let me know if you'd be interested in cantoring.
There was some slight confusion during rehearsal about which line to follow in the book for main melody on Table Song. If you're sticking with melody, it was suggested that regular (non-choir) books be used. We have a few copies in the back rows of the choir section; there are also a number of spares in the cry room. Feel free to go this route if it helps.
For We Arise, would one or two people be willing to switch to alto? That part is getting lost in the mix, especially with multiple people on both tenor and melody. Also, please be careful of cutoffs on this piece (Table Song as well) -- folks are cutting off at different times, which is especially noticeable on words ending in 's'.
