Solemnity of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist
I'm still working on the music for July, and will get that sent out in the next week or so.
Our Psalm, Before and Behind Me, is new. It's the only version of Psalm 139 in our books, which is why this is on the board. The music is a bit tricky with lots of chord changes and eighth/sixteenth note rhythms, so don't forget to look this over. As usual, I'll be available at 4 PM if anyone would like to come early.
For How Can I Keep from Singing?, please note several changes in the lyrics from the traditional version. Also, in this arrangement, there are only four verses (as opposed to five in the old GC). The sheet music below should reflect the new text out of GC3.
One quick correction to the page number for Blest Be the Lord. This is found on GC3 #686, not #617. Sorry for any confusion.
Finally, Bev is tied up with another commitment, so stay tuned for an update on instrumental coverage (I'm waiting to hear back from some folks on availability). This will likely be a Guitar Mass, though.
UPDATE: 06/20: Jim, Maggie and Joe are onboard, although we're still sorting out the best way to handle accompaniment for the psalm.
UPDATE: 06/22: Eva will be joining us on piano. Please welcome her back to the group!
