28th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Thanks for another strong Mass last week! I Could Sing of Your Love Forever and All You Works of God were probably our best of the night. I also appreciate your taking a shot at the Spanish on Pan de Vida -- we'll clean this up for next time :-).
Here's the audio -- sorry, there was a slight 'recording glitch', so I missed the first couple of songs.
A reminder that our first Christmas rehearsal of the season is this Saturday @ 3:30 PM. My goal is to start 'small' with songs that can be done by three or four strong voices on parts. If we end up with a larger ensemble, we can always expand things. A few pieces 'from the archives' that we'll start with:
- Arise, Shine! (Haugen)
- I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day (Casting Crowns)
- Masters in This Hall (Traditional; arr. Tabbush)
If it's helpful, we have 2021 videos of the first two pieces here and here (also on the website). Of course, the final music plan will depend on what the schedule & coverage looks like. More to come!
Bev is out next weekend, Oct. 19th. I reached out to Virginia & Victoria about coverage and Victoria will be joining us once again. The two of us will meet next Tuesday to review music.
Several of us from the Pastoral Council recently built a new Ministries website! It includes info on all of our Parish Ministries, including Music (under Prayer & Worship). Here's the link if you'd like to check it out! Hopefully this will help bring in new volunteers. The site will go out to the Parish soon.
Speaking of attracting new volunteers, our next Time & Talent Weekend was just scheduled for October 26th & 27th after all Masses. If you'd be available to stick around after Mass on the 26th, this will be a good opportunity to recruit :-).
Finally, if you haven't already, don't forget to RSVP for our Fall Potluck on Nov. 2nd after Mass. There's still plenty of spots available for food :-).
Have a great week and see you Saturday!
