Season of Creation:
"To Hope and Act with Creation"
25th Sunday in Ordinary Time

A huge thanks to Frank & Virginia for taking point on short-notice last week! I also appreciate everyone's patience & flexibility as we worked through the logistics. We were a small crew, but still pulled everything off :-). Here's the audio

Please welcome back Victoria on piano! She'll be covering for Bev on Saturday. The two of us met last week to go through the music plan, so we should be in good shape. Victoria will also be playing next Saturday, Sept. 28th (Virginia has a conflict, unfortunately). Bev should be back on Oct. 5th.

Since we've had folks out the past few weeks, let's take some time during regular rehearsal to go through Storrington Mass again. That way, we can see where we stand with parts, etc.. If you have any trouble spots that you'd like to look at, we can check those out too.

We have a date for our Quarterly Potluck! The Potluck will be on Saturday, Nov. 2nd from 6:30-8:30 PM in the Warehouse. Thanks to all who responded and to Bev for coordinating! Bev will be putting out more details in the coming weeks.

It's almost time to select music for October! Please let me know of any Saturdays you're out so that we can plan accordingly. Also stay tuned for some (very preliminary) info on possible Christmas music and rehearsals. With Advent a little over two months (!) away, I'd like to get a jump start on planning.

I think that's it. Be well and have a great week!

(All Mass Parts, except the Gospel Acclamation, are from Storrington Mass, including Holy, Eucharistic Acclamation 'B' (When We Eat This Bread), Doxology & Lamb of God)

Out: Luca, Bev, Maureen

Entrance:
GC3 #592 - We Are the Light of the World (vs 1-4) (Greif)
Materials (**links removed**)

(Glory to God)

Responsorial Ps (Lisa):
SS #072 - Ps 91 - Be With Me (Hurd)
Materials (**links removed**)

**The refrain is sung in cantor/response format -- the very first time, the cantor will sing the solo parts and the choir the 'All' parts. When it's repeated for the congregation, they'll join on the 'All' parts too. Also, please make sure you're singing the rhythms correctly on the refrain.**

Acclamation (Ben):
SS #005 (GC3 #844) - Alleluia! Give the Glory (vs 3 or 4) (Canedo)

Preparation:
GC3 #811 - Abundant Life (Duck)
Materials (**links removed**)

**Please take a look if unfamiliar! We've only sung this once before. This is melody-only, so no parts to worry about. We'll likely sing all three verses and repeat if needed.**

(Mass Parts)

Communion:
GC3 #751 - The Servant Song (Gillard)
Materials (**links removed**)

**Let's plan to include light accompanimentWe'll sing all six verses and repeat as needed (perhaps throwing in some instrumental & a capella verses to break things up). The phrasing will be handled like this. Harmonies would be great too!**

Commendation:
Song of Farewell (Schutte) [if needed]

Closing:
GC3 #577 - Sing Out, Earth and Skies! (Haugen)
Materials (**links removed**)

**We've also only done this one a few times before. The verses are in cantor/response format, so we may want to split these if we have enough singers. It would also be nice to include the alto & tenor harmonies on the refrain. Let's plan to all five verses.**
