Thanks to all who came out last week! We had a few small issues come up (along with everyone else, it seems!), but the program still came together pretty well! The harmonies especially sounded nice on I Am the Bread of Lifeit was also fun pulling out I Will Choose Christ again :-). Here's the audio

We're making good headway with Storrington Mass! Please keep working on your parts. If more 3:30 rehearsals would be helpful, I'd be happy to get some on the board for September.

Last Saturday, we reviewed the Gloria with the congregation; this week, we'll go through the 'Holy' & 'When We Eat This Bread'. The following week will be the 'Doxology/Amen' & 'Lamb of God'.

Since Bev is out, please welcome Victoria on piano! Victoria has played for the old 9 AM Mass in the past, and also accompanied the Arietta Women's Ensemble. I'll be meeting with her Friday to review music/logistics. At this point, I'm not anticipating any changes to the program.

On a similar note, Fr. Jozef & Dcn. Jack are away this week. Our visiting priest will be Fr. Joshi. We'll need to be flexible on the presider intros for Mass Parts (either spoken or sung -- in some form). I'll try to touch base with Fr. Joshi before Mass to make sure we're on the same page.

It's hard to believe that Summer is almost over! As we approach September, please let me know of any weeks you're out so that we can plan. September music will be ready in the next couple of weeks. We'll also need to start seriously looking at music possibilities for the Advent/Christmas season :-).

Good news: a new singer will be joining us next week! Barry R. is a long-time parishioner and recently joined our Knights of Columbus Council. At the last KofC meeting, he also expressed interest in getting involved with the Music Ministry. Welcome to the group!

I think that's it! With everything going on, please be ready to start right at 4:00. That'll give us time to run through everything and sort out any logistics. See you then!

(All Mass Parts, except the Gospel Acclamation, are from Storrington Mass, including Holy, Eucharistic Acclamation 'B' (When We Eat This Bread), Doxology & Lamb of God)

Out: Luca, Bev, Jake (tentative), Maureen, Joe (tentative)

Entrance:
GC3 #778 - Anthem (Conry)
Materials (**links removed**)

**Sing the refrain is long, we'll probably only sing two verses**

Glory to God:
Storrington Mass (Haugen)
Materials (**links removed**)

Responsorial Ps (Lisa):
SS #159 (GC3 #917) - O Taste and See (Ps 34) (vs 1-3) (Haugen)
Materials (**links removed**)

**Like last week, this piece isn't written as a Psalm, but is based on the Ps 34 text. We'll sing it in the usual Psalm format. The refrain is sung twice between each verse. For the very first time, Lisa will sing it once and everyone will repeat; after each verse, everyone will sing both times (like this).**

Acclamation (Ben):
SS #005 (GC3 #844) - Alleluia! Give the Glory (vs 3 or 4) (Canedo)
Materials (**links removed**)

Preparation:
SS #146 - What is Our Service to Be (Crandal)
Materials (**links removed**)

**Please take a look if unfamiliar -- we've only done this a couple of times before. This may end up being a tad short for Offertory, so we'll repeat verses or add an instrumental if needed.**

Holy, Holy, Holy:
Storrington Mass (Haugen)
Materials (**links removed**)

Eucharistic Acclamation:
Storrington Mass (When We Eat This Bread) (Haugen)
Materials (**links removed**)

Doxology/Amen:
Storrington Mass (Haugen)
Materials (**links removed**)

Lamb of God:
Storrington Mass (Haugen)
Materials (**links removed**)

**We'll likely repeat this about four times, including the final ending. Please watch for the cue near the end of the next-to-last repeat.**

Communion:
SS #149 - As One Unknown (Consiglio)
Materials (**links removed**)

Commendation:
Song of Farewell (Schutte) [if needed]

Closing:
SS #145 (GC3 #753) - We Will Serve the Lord (Cooney)
Materials (**links removed**)

**Keep in mind that the refrain is only sung after verses two, three and four; verses one and two are sung back-to-back. We'll plan to sing all four verses.**
