16th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Thanks for another strong Mass last week! It was great being mostly fully-staffed and the harmonies sounded wonderful! This was a very SS-heavy program and a number of folks mentioned how much they enjoyed it (especially during Sunday's Picnic)!
Two sets of recordings for you this time -- one is the usual and the other a direct feed from the system (sorry for the static; we're still working out some kinks).
We touched on this last week, but a Vocation Prayer has been inserted into the front covers of our GC hymnals (all 500+ of them!). Father Jozef may have everyone pray this before the Final Blessing some weeks. Besides Priests & Deacons, it's also a prayer for Brothers, Sisters & Lay Ministers.
It's hard to believe that we're already halfway through Summer! I'll be selecting music for August in the next couple of weeks -- please let me know of any Saturdays you're out so that we can plan accordingly. Bev will be out August 3rd, so we'll need to be especially careful about that weekend.
Also, we'll be (re)introducing Storrington Mass in about a month. Since we have a (mostly) 'light' program this week, let's take some time to look at the parts (for real, this time :-).
Finally, the Advent/Christmas season is only six months away! If you have any thoughts on music for preludes, etc., let me know. We don't have a Mass schedule yet, but I'd like to start looking at special selections post-Summer (probably September). That'll give us some time to play with.
Thanks for all that you do! It's truly a team effort and really makes our Mass experience special!
(All Mass Parts, except the Gospel Acclamation, are from Mass of Creation, including Holy, Eucharistic Acclamation 'B' (When We Eat This Bread), Doxology & Lamb of God)

SS #059 (GC3 #035) - Ps 23 - Shepherd Me, O God (Haugen)

**Would anyone like to sing the harmony on the refrain and/or verse four (from the GC version)? Also, don't forget that the transition into verse four is different (and shorter!) than the others.**

**It's been several years since we've sung this. Ideally, I'd like to do it a capella in parts. We would sing all five verses and then repeat verse one. Let's make sure to keep the tempo from dragging! Please be careful of phrasing too -- we'll do it like this recording.**
