Nicely done last week! Our visiting priest, Fr. Luc, was pretty easy to work with. Everything sounded great and the harmonies on Anthem, If Today and America and Beautiful were lovely. Several folks appreciated us doing all four verses for that Closing song too :-). Here's the audio.
Also, thanks to all who were to stick around for our potluck! It was a great little gathering and there was plenty of food to go around. Special thanks to Bev for organizing! If you have any feedback for next time, please make sure to let her know.
Sound system work continues! Besides more adjustments to our balance, we're seeing about backing up the iPad settings (in the event that something happens in the future). We're still playing with recording directly from the sound system too (the last two attempts haven't quite worked, but we have some ideas about what might be going on; stay tuned!).
This week, stickers will be added to the inside cover of our GC hymnals with a Vocation Prayer. This was suggested by Dcn. Jack and organized by our KofC Council. Given the severe shortage of new priests & deacons in our Diocese, the Vocation Prayer will be said before the final blessing each week.
We had some time last Saturday to work on the Gloria from Storrington Mass. Time-permitting, let's continue with that this week. And if you're able to look at the parts, that would be wonderful! We'll (re)introduce this setting on August 17th and continue using it through the end of November.
