10th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Nice job last week! We ended up not being as light as anticipated, but it was still fun having everyone on mics. The harmonies sounded nice and Lead Us to Your Table is coming along (we just have to be careful of those entrances :-). Thanks to all who came out!
Here's the audio (sorry, these are 'muddier' than usual since the recorder was in a different spot).
Welcome back to Ordinary Time!
Last Thursday, Joe, Jake, Paul & I (as well as a couple of Sunday folks) met to rebalance the mics. We also did some general wiring cleanup & tweaked mic placement slightly. The gain/levels for all mics is now about the same. We tested everything during Mass this past Saturday and the balance was quite good; we just need to sort out one or two issues and get the Sunday folks squared away.
A few things to keep in mind:
- The four front row mics are designed to be used up close (please do sing on top of them!).
- The guitar stand has different mics that are much more sensitive. It's not necessary to be super close to these.
- The second row mics are intended for picking up large groups. We typically have these muted (unless others are joining us). There's no need to be too close to these either.
Apologies for the late notice (this almost slipped through the cracks -- my bad!), but we're switching to Mass of Creation this week. We'll review everything briefly on Saturday. Barb P., Barb H., Joanne & I are also working on planning a rotation of Mass Settings into next year. Stay tuned!
Looking ahead, Bev offered to take on planning our quarterly potlucks (thanks, Bev!). She's looking at dates in July, August & September. Please complete Bev's poll from yesterday and we'll go from there!
Finally, Joanne put out an email/poll today regarding a Memorial Mass on Saturday, June 29th @ 2 PM. Please let Joanne know if you're able to sing/play and complete the poll for a rehearsal.
I think that's it. Have a great week!
