32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time

Thanks to all who came out last week! This was a rare instance where Bev & I were out on the same weekend, so I really appreciate everyone stepping up! Special thanks to Frank and our guest pianist Virginia for taking point! I'm told everything came together pretty well all things considered.
Since we had our first snow of the season recently, this is my annual note about winter weather :-). Masses generally aren't canceled, so in the event of bad weather, please let me know if you can't make it (I'll do the same!). From there, we'll decide about still providing music in some capacity (depending on conditions & who's available) or simply not having music. Hopefully this won't be an issue, though!
A reminder that our next Christmas rehearsal is at 3 PM on Saturday. We do have a couple of folks out, but will continue working on preludes. Next week, we'll likely start looking at other music too.
A second hymn board has been set up in the Sanctuary. The original board is now behind the organ, with the new board behind the presider chairs. Separate sets of numbers are available for both. Moving forward, let's make sure numbers are added to both boards before Masses.
We have no new music this week, but please take a look at parts if you're able. We'll probably only have a few singers, so it would be nice to split things out as much as possible. I can help where needed :-).
Looking ahead, Mass for Thanksgiving Eve will be celebrated on 11/22 @ 7:00 PM. Bev & I are covering, so please join us! These special liturgies are always better when there's more than just a pianist & cantor! I'll update the November music plan with the selections (probably) later this week.
For Advent/Christmas, we'll be switching back to Mass of Joy & Peace (but keeping the same Alleluia). Joanne, Barb P. and I also decided against a common/theme song for Advent.
The Christmas Mass schedule was confirmed yesterday! Below is what's been proposed for coverage so far. Who's covering which Masses hasn't been finalized yet, so please do let me know whether the 8:00 PM timeslot works (this could possibly change, depending on everyone's availability).
Christmas Eve:
Sun., 12/24 @ 4:00 PM - Children's Choir
Sun., 12/24 @ 6:00 PM - 10:30 AM Choir - tentative
Sun., 12/24 @ 8:00 PM - 5:00 PM Choir - tentative
Christmas Day:
Mon., 12/25 @ 10:00 AM - 8:30 AM Choir
Finally, a heads up that I'll be out again on 12/09 for the SCCS Christmas concert. If anyone else is also unavailable, please let me know so we can plan.
Thanks all for now. Be well and have a great week!
