27th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Thanks for a great Mass last week! Let Justice Flow Like a River came together quite well for a first run and We Will Serve the Lord was fun to pull out again. Check out the audio here.
A reminder that our music & cantor schedule for October is ready. Let me know if you see any issues.
I'm very happy to report that Time & Talent was a success! We have two (possibly three) new singers joining us this week -- please welcome Julie, Mario & Karl! Also, Luca will be playing flute for a song or two next weekend, 10/14 (we originally started discussing this back in April).
Barb H. let us know that we may end up with a potted palm plant on the windowsill behind the drums. There are at least six of these upstairs that are being saved for Palm Sunday; they need moved to the south-facing windows due to the change in seasons. We can slide the drums out a bit so there's space.
The Fall Festival is being held on 10/21 from 9 AM - 4 PM. The planning committee would love to have live music in the Gathering Space. If interested, please get in touch with Cella in the Office.
An email went out last week about singing/playing for the Children's Christmas Pageant on 12/16. If you haven't already, please let me know whether you're interested in helping.
As for Christmas rehearsals (thanks for all the feedback!), let's stick with the Saturday 3 PM timeslot (let me know if that doesn't work). I'll also schedule a dress rehearsal (including a snow date -- to avoid a repeat of last year) once we have a better idea of the Mass schedule.
Please take a look at Come to the Feast if it's unfamiliar. We've only done this a few times before. For now, we'll stick with the English text.
For Go Make a Difference, let's follow the written arrangement, with two tweaks: first, we'll add clapping on the final refrain; second, there will be a fermata during the final ending (see recording).
Finally, I'd like to work on a new piece for 10/14 & 10/28: Anthem (here's the music & sample recording). Please take a look before Saturday, especially the rhythms!
I think that's it. See you Saturday!
