Here's to another great Mass last week! Rain Down came together especially nicely, and Bring Forth the Kingdom was fun to sing again. Special thanks to Jake for cantoring both the Psalm & Alleluia! As always, I appreciate everyone coming out. Here's the audio

Last Friday, Barb P., Joanne & I met to review/tweak the new Music Ministry website. We also updated our Ministry description for Time & Talent, and looked at some theme music for the upcoming Season of Creation (Sept. 1st - Oct. 4th). It was a very productive meeting/work session. More to come!

With last week's use of Mission Song, we're looking into the possibility of producing a booklet for the congregation with Dcn. Bob's music. It would include new/updated transcriptions of each piece. Since we no longer have songsheets, this would allow us to use that music whenever needed.

A reminder that we'll have a sendoff dinner for Tom & Maggie after Mass this Saturday, 07/29. If you haven't already responded, here are the signups. We'll (probably) meet in the Gathering Space, and use the Kitchenette as a staging area. Please do come a bit early if you have anything to set up/prep.

UPDATE: 07/27: The Gathering Space & Kitchenette are both available on Saturday (no other scheduled activities). Fr. Jozef has also been invited to join us.

Please take a look at Where Your Treasure Is if it's unfamiliar. We've only sung this once before. We'll skip verse 4 (which has a completely different melody, and would make the song too long anyway).

The same goes for Voice of Christ. Note that the melodies for verses 3 & 4 are completely different from verses 1 & 2. I'm anticipating getting through all four verses for Communion.

Finally, I'm working on a music plan for August, and should have that ready in the next week or so. Don't forget to let me know of any weekends you're out :-). Also, once we hit Fall, I'm hoping to begin planning music further in advance (maybe 2-3 months out -- we'll see!).

That's all for now. Stay cool, and have a great week!
