Thanks for a great large-group Mass last week! After a month of light Summer coverage, it was wonderful having almost everyone back! The program came together quite nicely, and folks really seemed to enjoy the music. It's hard picking favorites, but mine was Here I Am. Here's the audio.
The Parish has launched a new, public Facebook page! If you're able, please do like/follow it for updates. This will become one of the Church's main communication channels (along with Flocknote, etc.). There could also be opportunities to promote Music Ministry activities this way :-).
Last Saturday, Joe and I installed the new cable covers in the choir area (thanks, Joe!). We still have a few things to wrap up (and some of the covers aren't quite flat yet), but they seem to be a good fit.
If you need to use the commentator mic, this has been swapped out with one that has a dedicated power switch. You'll need to turn the mic on before using it, and turn it off when you're done. This may help avoid further feedback issues. Thanks to Ben for the heads up on this!
Like last week, we have a couple of new/less-familiar pieces on the board. I don't believe we've ever sung Your Love is Finer than Life for a Saturday before; also, we've only done Find Us Ready a couple of times during Advent. Please take a look at both of these.
Finally, the Parish's 34th birthday is this Friday, 07/14 (Happy Birthday, us!). Next Sunday, 07/23, we'll celebrate with a Picnic & activities starting at 1 PM (food & volunteer signups here). It's been a while since we've had a 'proper' Parish Picnic, so please do come out if you're able! Parishioners from St. Matthew (Fr. Jozef's previous Parish) have also been invited.
