7th Sunday of Easter

Thanks for another great liturgy last week! Everything came together well, with several folks passing along their compliments. Jesus, Your Spirit in Us was especially fun to try -- unfortunately, the recorder didn't really capture the verses (I was too far away), but you guys sounded nice :-). Here's the audio (**link removed**).
A reminder that Masses for Ascension will be celebrated this Thursday, 05/18, at 9 AM & 7 PM. If anyone would like to sing/play, the 7 PM music went out by email. Bev, Barb P. & I are covering.
Due to a celebration of his 25th Ordination Anniversary, Fr. Jozef is out this weekend. Fr. Jozef will be saying Masses at St. Matthew, with Fr. Pleva (St. Matthew's new pastor) covering for him at GS. Please make Fr. Pleva feel welcome! I'll also speak with him about how we're handling Mass Parts, etc..
Be Not Afraid in GC has an additional harmony on vs 3 that isn't in SS. If you'd like to take a look, both versions are below. I'm also flexible on the rhythms, as long as we're doing them the same way.
For Go Make a Difference, clapping can be added on the final refrain; also, we'll be handling the Coda a bit differently than what's in the book (see the recording).
Let's take some time during rehearsal to look at Holy Spirit, We're Calling You. This is for Communion next week (Pentecost). The music went out by email (please bring copies!).
Just a reminder to please keep me in-the-loop on summer absences (if you haven't already). I'm working on our music for June, and that'll really help with planning.
We also have several feast days coming up -- it would be great to have most of us here if possible:
- 05/27 - Pentecost (wear red; also Memorial Day weekend & the last week for songsheets)
- 06/03 - Trinity Sunday (new Mass schedule starts; also Fr. Jozef's 25th anniv. celebration at GS)
- 06/10 - Feast of the Body & Blood of Christ
Finally, let me know your thoughts on continuing to use Alleluia! Give the Glory in June, versus switching back to the regular Alleluia (I probably know the answer to this, but just checking :-).
Be well and have a great week!
