7th Sunday in Ordinary Time / Baptism

Thanks for another solid Mass last week! The harmonies especially sounded nice on Your Words Are Spirit and Life and I Am the Bread of Life. Father Jozef also passed along his compliments and seems happy with what we're doing. Check out the audio here.
A reminder that we have a Baptism and potluck this Saturday. If you can come a bit early to give me a hand with setup, that would be helpful (I'll be there around 3:15 PM). Any food can be kept warm or refrigerated in the Kitchenette, which will be our staging area. Please sign up if you haven't already.
Since our last Saturday Baptism was before COVID (and we have some new folks), just a few quick notes on how things will flow. In speaking with Fr. Jozef last week, he wasn't planning to make any big changes to the existing program (but will update if I hear differently).
- Killoren's Hosanna, Glory will serve as both our Gathering song & Gloria (we won't sing the Gloria from Mass of Joy & Peace after the Penitential Rite).
- The Baptism itself will take place immediately after the Homily. We'll follow the program in the green booklets (inserted into the songsheets -- see below).
- The We Believe response will be sung several times during the Renunciation & Profession of Faith (see recording -- we may or may not play the cords under the presider text).
- Finally, Killoren's Living Water will be sung for the Sprinkling Rite.
UPDATE: 02/18: Per Barb, the Baptism program may be slightly different from what's in the green booklet. Fr. Jozef is using his own book with text that's "close enough". Not sure if there's a place for the sung 'We Believe' responses. Will confirm the details tonight.
Please take a look at the two Killoren pieces if they're unfamiliar. I'll have copies of the music on Saturday. Note that we don't have piano accompaniment for Hosanna, Glory, so we'll need to work with basic chords and melody only. We do have piano music for Living Water, though.
We haven't sung All Are Welcome in quite a while. Please take a look if you don't know this one. Given the length, there's a good chance we'll only get through 2-3 verses.
For Remember Your Love, we'll slowly build this up during Communion. Also, keep in mind that the rhythms on the verses aren't all the same. The final refrain will be a capella.
For They'll Know We Are Christians, we've played with swinging the melody in the past. This time, I'd like to meet somewhere in the middle and do it along the lines of the recording below.
Last week, we talked about looking into cleaning up the sound system wiring (and possibly some other sound/sightline-related issues too). Several folks are willing to help with this. More to come.
At a recent meeting, it was suggested that everyone wear name tags again to help Fr. Jozef get acquainted with folks. If you're able to do this, I'm sure it would be appreciated.
Finally, Lent kicks off next week with Ash Wed. on 02/22 & the 1st Sun of Lent on 02/25. We'll be switching to Mass of Remembrance. A Lenten theme has also been chosen, but Fr. Jozef didn't specify any repeating/common songs. I'm coordinating with the Sunday folks on music; stay tuned.
UPDATE: 02/16: Music for Ash Wed. went out via email. Also, a reminder about dinner signups -- just want to make sure everything's covered :-).
I think that's all for now. Happy Valentine's Day and see you Saturday!
