Here's to another strong Mass last week! Everything came together pretty well, with no real issues. Thanks to all who were able to come out. Here's the audio.
Would anyone be interested in handling the introductory reading at the beginning of Mass? Ben is the Reader and won't be able to do it this week. If not; I can give it a shot. (update - Ginny has this)
It would be great to sing I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say in parts. We've played with this before, but haven't done it for a Mass yet. This would be for verses 2 & 3, with a possible instrumental at the end.
For the Psalm, the publisher has an arrangement with parts that aren't in the book. If anyone would like to take a look (refrain only is fine), the music is below (along with the regular SS version).
We'll mostly follow the written arrangement for Go Make a Difference. The only changes will be possibly adding some clapping on the final refrain, and some tweaks to the Coda (see recording).
Rich asked if we have the words/music for the Commendation Song written anywhere. A quick transcription is below (this is part of a larger piece by Dan Schutte). We can take a peek on Saturday.
A reminder that next Saturday, 02/18, is a Baptism. We haven't celebrated a Saturday Baptism in quite a while. It would be great to have everyone available. Will let you know of any changes.
Our Quarterly Choir Potluck will also be after Mass on 02/18. We can use the Kitchenette as a staging area and eat in the Warehouse (or Gathering Space). Here's the signup -- please RSVP & let us know what you're planning to bring. Everyone's welcome (spouses/family too!).
Finally, I don't have any updates on the new Mass schedule or Lent season yet, but hopefully we'll have more info later this week or next. Stay tuned.
