3rd Sunday of Advent

Thanks for a great liturgy last week! Prepare! Prepare! was definitely a hit and Find Us Ready came together pretty well too. Besides working tenor/bass parts on Mary, Did You Know?, we also started looking at (tentative) Christmas Mass music. Here's the audio.
The Christmas Mass schedule was confirmed last week. There will be three Masses: 4 PM & 6 PM Christmas Eve, and 10:15 AM Christmas Day. The Children's Choir will be singing at 4 PM; we're covering the 6 PM & Barb P. has the 10:15 AM on organ. Some Sunday folks may be joining us.
Mass for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception is being held on Thurs., 12/08, at 6:30 PM. I'll pass along the program when it's available. We're still sorting out cantor/pianist coverage.
On Saturday, I'm hoping to join you after my 3 PM concert wraps, but to be safe, please assume I'm not coming. I'll try to set up the choir area ahead of time. Bev & Maggie will be in charge in my absence.
For those who can attend, Christmas rehearsal will still be held at 3:30 PM (note the time change). I'd suggest working on Mary, Did You Know?, Finale for Christmas and (if time) Christmas Mass music.
Father asked that we sing O Come, O Come, Emmanuel a capella last week. I'm assuming he'll want the same this week. We can start singing this as soon as Father begins lighting the candles.
For In the Lord, I'd suggest not worrying about the verses and just repeating the refrain. A tempo similar to the recording would be ideal and parts are certainly welcome :-).
Finally, looking ahead, we have one more regular Christmas rehearsal on 12/17 & dress rehearsal on 12/23. Would meeting at 6 PM on the 23rd work for everyone? Please let me know this week.
