Songs & Updates for Saturday, June 25, 2022 [updated]

13th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Thanks to everyone who was there last week! Several pieces came together quite well, especially the Psalm. If you'd like to check it out, here's the audio.

Welcome back to Ordinary Time! As anticipated, we're switching to Mass of Creation; the Penitential Rite will be recited and there's no Sprinkling or Gloria. We'll also sing We Proclaim Your Death for the Eucharistic Acclamation.

There's nothing new on the board this week. Just a reminder that Father likes Two Fishermen taken at a fairly fast clip; we should also be careful about tempo on Offertory & Communion :-).

We have a number of folks out, so we'll most likely need everyone on mics. It would be great to take advantage of any harmonies too. Let's also review Mass Parts.

Finally, I'm in the process of putting together the cantor schedule & music for July. My hope is to avoid any new music for the rest of the summer (with the exception of anything Father adds to the mix). Our programs have also been a bit GC-heavy, so I'm trying to restore the balance with more SS material.

UPDATE: 06/22: Several music stands are being borrowed for another event, but three should still be available. I can bring one or two from home if needed.
