Songs & Updates for Saturday, January 29, 2022

4th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Thanks for another solid small-group liturgy last week! There were some nice two & three-part splits and several newer songs are starting to come together. Here's the audio.

We get another shot at Good News. As discovered last week, this piece is pretty obscure (virtually nothing on it) and the only accompaniment is melody & chords. A reminder that the refrain repeats between verses. There's also one harmony line on the refrain & verses if anyone's interested.

In the past, we've done the last verse of Come to Me, O Weary Traveler a capella. Depending on our numbers, we could try doing this again, or keep accompaniment throughout.

For Offertory, I swapped out I Have Been Anointed with Here I Am, Lord, which should be more practical at the moment. I Have Been Anointed could be a good contender for Easter, though :-).

Finally, stay tuned for February music and a cantor schedule. As always, we can be flexible on planning until the COVID situations stabilizes.

Have a great week!
