1st Sunday of Advent

Nice job last week! It was great to once again get the band back together and end Year B on a high note. If you'd like to check it out, here's the audio.

Mass for Thanksgiving will be celebrated this Wednesday (tomorrow) @ 6:30 PM. Bev's playing piano. All are welcome to join. The music went out by email.

Welcome to Advent & Liturgical Year C! There's lots to cover, so please be on time for 4 PM practice.

We're switching to Mass of Joy & Peace. Note there's no Gloria during Advent. Also, the Eucharistic Acclamation will be 'When We Eat This Bread'. Let me know if you need the music to review.

At this point, we're not sure if the Common song Father mentioned a few weeks ago (We Long for You, O Lord) is still happening. Let's not bring it up for now, but be prepared in case it pops up later.

Please take a look at O Lord, Hear My Prayer, our only new piece this week. Ideally, it would be great to do this a capella in four parts (it's Taize, so the parts are very simple).

The schedule for Advent/Christmas rehearsals went out over the weekend. If we could stick around after Mass this Saturday, we'll get started on the two Christmas preludes and go from there.

Finally, our December music is in the works. The Christmas program itself is still in flux, but hoping to have a better idea about kids involvement after the holiday. Please don't forget to sign up if you haven't already. Jonathan should be available to help us out and I'm checking on some others as well.
