Songs & Updates for Saturday, November 20, 2021 [updated]

Feast of Christ the King

Thanks to all who came out last week! Even with three new songs and a small group, things came together fairly well. Here's the audio

Since winter is upon us, a reminder to keep us in-the-loop on any weather absences. I'd also suggest being familiar with at least melody on any planned music (just in case a backup cantor is needed).

Info on this year's Christmas Mass schedule went out via email. Musician signups are also now available and a practice schedule should be ready soon (please plan for some after-Mass practices).

We have a prelude on the board, McFerrin's The Lord is My Shepherd. Ken (bass), Maggie (soprano), Bev (alto), Tom (bass) and myself (tenor) are onboard. Let me know if you'd like to join.

It looks like we have another shot at The Trumpet in the Morning -- this is a fun, upbeat tune that Father really seemed to like. If you weren't here last week, take a look. The same goes for Sing of the Lord's Goodness, which may be new.

Finally, Advent and a new Liturgical Year kicks off next Saturday, 11/27. It's going to be a busy four weeks leading up to Christmas, so please look ahead and stay tuned as we finalize planning.

UPDATE: 11/18: Approx. 60 chairs have been added to the choir area for rehearsal use by an outside group; chairs are to the right of our usual seating area, so we can still sit where we normally do.

Stay safe and have a great week!
