6th Sunday in Ordinary Time
I've been working on selecting regular Mass music for Lent. Again, we'll be singing Talbot's Create In Me all season for Gathering (practice materials HERE), Hold Us in Your Mercy for the Penitential Rite and Now We Remain for Communion. Other notable pieces will likely include Beyond the Days, Remember Your Love, Dust and Ashes, Merciful God, Deep Within and Make Us Worthy. Stay tuned for the final plan (probably in the next week or so).
On a similar note, Chris W. has agreed to cover for Bev on 02/29 (1st Sunday of Lent). If anyone else is not available that Saturday, please let me know so we can plan accordingly.
For this week, Glory and Praise to Our God has been replaced with We Arise, as the next season of the Arise Program is getting underway. Also, continuing with our trend of funky Closing songs this month, please make sure you're comfortable with the flow on We Will Serve the Lord. Finally, if time, let's start adding in the voice parts on Create In Me.
Our first Lent rehearsal will be after Mass this week (schedule HERE). The focus will be on pieces for Lent and Good Friday (probably How Beautiful and There Was No One There). If you haven't already picked up the music, binders will be available again on Saturday.
