Feast of the Epiphany
Happy New Year, all! We ended 2019 on a high note with last week's celebration of the Feast of the Holy Family. There was some nice harmony (especially on the second half of Lord, Today) and special thanks to the Frike Clan for joining us! Check out the audio HERE.

A reminder that Mass for New Year's Day / Solemnity of Mary is being held on Wednesday, 01/01, at 10 AM. Barb is cantoring and Jeff is playing guitar (no piano coverage). If you're available that morning, singers are needed. The final program can be found HERE.

 UPDATE: 12/31 - Barb came down with a bug, so she and Jeff won't be able to cover this liturgy. Please be prepared for an a capella Mass. As it stands, I'm planning to be there.

Our music for January (HERE) has been approved with some minor tweaks. The cantor schedule can be found HERE. For this week, note that both Epiphany Carol and The Virgin Mary Had a Baby Boy are songs we haven't done before. I'm guessing many of you are familiar with these, but if not, please review.

Looking ahead, I Have Been Anointed (Closing for 01/18) is another song to review if unfamiliar. We dabbled with this piece some years ago (slightly different arrangement than what's in the book), but never actually used it for a Mass. Should be a fun addition to our repertoire.

 Also note that there's a Double-Baptism scheduled for 01/25. The usual changes have been made to the program. If possible, it would be great to be at full staff that Saturday.

Finally, as far as an after-Mass dinner/planning meeting, how does 01/25 look? That's the tentative date for our next monthly dinner anyway, and will give us all a few weeks to recover from the holiday and settle into the new year.
