3rd Sunday of Advent
Please review Awake! Awake, as we don't do this one too often. The Psalm is new, so don't forget to take a look at the refrain as well. Also note that there was an RCIA Rite of Dismissal planned for Saturday, but it was moved to Sunday. Finally, we'll need to allow time right before Mass for a piano prelude (the same goes for next week).
Our last big Advent piece is O Come, Divine Messiah!. This is on the board for Gathering next week, 12/21. Please go over your parts. We may touch on this during practice if time.
A reminder that the Advent Penance Service has been scheduled for next Tuesday, 12/17, at 7 PM. Will pass along any details as I receive them.
We have Christmas rehearsal after Mass. I'd like to primarily work on regular Mass music (tentative selections HERE; will have copies available for your binders). Again, let's try to include as many of the parts as possible -- these should all be standard arrangements, but I'm open to other versions if we want to mix things up a bit. Looking ahead, we only have two weeks and a couple of rehearsals left. Stay tuned for the final plan, and looking forward to a wonderful celebration of Christmas!
UPDATE: 12/11: Just learned today that the Parish Hall won't be set up for Christmas until 12/23. How would we feel about moving our 12/22 dress rehearsal to 12/23? If that works, any preferences on timeframe? Let me know and we can go from there!
