27th Sunday in Ordinary Time / Baptism

Our music for October (HERE) has been sent to the Office for approval. The cantor schedule is also ready to go (HERE). Will let you know of any changes.
Since another season of ARISE is beginning, Father would like us to sing We Arise throughout October. This also means that we'll be alternating between two common Communion songs: O Taste and See and Now in This Banquet.
Additionally, we'll resume singing the Penitential Rite and Gloria from Mass of Creation. The switch to Mass of Joy & Peace for Advent/Christmas will take place on 11/30.
Singers/cantors and instrumentalists are needed to cover All Saints on 10/31 @ 7 PM. I'm out-of-town, so if you're available/interested, let me know ASAP and I'll work with you on planning & logistics.
Finally, I'd like to start working on Christmas pieces as part of regular rehearsals and after Masses (possibly separate rehearsals too -- stay tuned). I already have music for three of the pieces, with one on order. Could we get started after Mass next Saturday, 10/12?
Good news: in Bev and Jim's absence this week, Chris W. from the 9 AM Mass has agreed to play piano. Huge thanks to Chris for covering! Let's get underway right at 4:30 so we have time to work through everything. Note that this Baptism is for a 10 year-old child, so it may run a bit longer than usual. If as many of us could be there as possible for this special celebration, that would be great :-).
