30th Sunday in Ordinary Time
I'm in the process of picking music for November. Note that we'll continue singing We Arise though mid-November (when the current season of ARISE concludes). We'll also switch to Mass of Joy & Peace on 11/30 for Advent. I'm going to hold off on selecting music for that last weekend pending a planning meeting with Father.
Please take a look at the verses on Now in This Banquet, as we didn't quite have these down last time. It would also be nice to add the canon if possible.
Ken and Bev will be covering Mass for All Saints on 10/31. If you're available, please come join them! Will pass along further info on the final plan/program as I receive it.
An update on Christmas coverage: unfortunately, Jim and the Davis Clan won't be able to join us this year. That'll leave us a bit short in places, so if you know of anyone who'd be willing to sing/play, please do reach out. We're especially in need of tenors/basses and a melodic instrumentalist (flute, violin, etc.). I'm currently looking into guitar coverage.
A reminder that we have Christmas rehearsal after Mass. Besides Carol of the Bells and Finale for Christmas, I'd like to start looking at Masters in this Hall, our 'big' choral piece for the season. The tentative rehearsal plan for the rest of the season can be found HERE.
Jim is out this Saturday. I'm here this week and next (barring any travel delays), but will be tied up with an SCCS concert on 11/09.
