28th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Our music for October (HERE) has been approved with one minor change.
We haven't done Now in This Banquet in a very long time, but it should be a familiar tune. If not, please take a look. Keep in mind that this is another song with five unique melody lines for the verses. I'd also like to do the canon if possible and keep it fairly upbeat. We'll do this piece again later in October.
Next week's Psalm, I Will Lift Up My Eyes, is new. If you'd be interested in cantoring, let me know. Materials can be found HERE. We may touch on this during practice if time.
On a similar note, Bev is available to play for All Saints on 10/31. The cantor situation is still being sorted out, though (stay tuned). If you're free that night, please come sing/play!
Finally, a reminder that we're rehearsing Christmas music after Mass (probably Carol of the Bells and Finale for Christmas). If you weren't here last Saturday, see me for binders and music. Please stick around so we can get a jump start on the season :-).
