Songs & Updates for Saturday, November 2, 2019 [updated]

31st Sunday in Ordinary Time / All Saints
Happy Halloween / All Saints! I'm putting this out a day early since we'll be on the road tomorrow (Tuesday) and I may not have a chance to send it the usual time. Feel free to email and/or call/text with any questions.

Everything sounded great last week! There was some nice harmony and energy throughout, and each song seemed to balance quite well. We also continued work on our three Christmas choral pieces after Mass. Thanks to all who were able to be there! Check out the audio HERE

Our music for the first four weeks of November (HERE) has been sent to the Office for approval. Will let you know of any changes. The cantor schedule is also ready to go (HERE). Of note, I'd like to (re-)introduce yet another 'classic' Communion piece that we don't normally sing: Let Us Be Bread. I'm also open to ideas for Advent preludes.

Ken & Bev are covering Mass for All Saints on Thursday at 7 PM (program HERE). If you're able to join, rehearsal will be at 6:20. This liturgy will likely be organ-based. The Sunday Choirs are covering the other All Saints Mass on 11/01 at 9 AM and All Souls at 7 PM.

A reminder that the Fall Craft Fair is being held on Saturday from 10 AM - 2 PM. Group Therapy will be providing live entertainment during the event from 11 AM - 1 PM. Please do come out and support this fundraising event for the Parish. See Ginny with any questions.

Our third Christmas rehearsal will be after Mass on Saturday. I'd like to continue work on Carol, Finale and Masters. Keep in mind that we're tweaking the voice parts on some of these pieces to best take advantage of available musicians (for example, soprano singing tenor 1). I was also hoping to get into the BNL arrangement God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen this week, but that one's one hold until we sort out strings (stay tuned).

Jim is out again this week; I'm out next week for a concert.

UPDATE: 10/29: Our November music has been approved with no changes; also added missing sheet music for Offertory.

Barring any travel delays, see you Saturday!
