Songs & Updates for Saturday, May 4, 2019 [updated]

3rd Sunday of Easter
Thanks for another solid Mass last week! Doing a Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation all at once is a pretty rare occurrence outside of the Easter Vigil, so I appreciate your bearing with the changes/additions to the program. At the reception afterward, the family passed along their compliments on the music.

The tentative music selections for this week are below. Will let you know of any changes. I should have the rest of the month ready to go in the next few days. The same goes for the cantor schedule.

Please take a look at the Psalm is unfamiliar. We've only done this one a few times before. I'm also considering a new Communion piece for the near future, Behold the Lamb (GC3 #939). Some of you may already know this one, but if not, check it out. It has some nice, simple harmony throughout.

Looking ahead, as we approach summer, please try to let me know of any planned vacations, absences, etc.. We traditionally run a bit 'lean' over the summer, so just want to avoid surprises. Thanks!

A reminder that I'm out next Saturday, 05/11, due to a day trip to NYC. Still not sure about 05/25.

UPDATE: 05/01: Our music for this week has been approved with no changes; Barb also requested that we announce/sing "Happy Anniversary" to Father Charlie before the Closing song, as 05/03 marks the anniversary of his ordination.
